Moving Day

Moving day is almost here. As excited as I am to be moving into a house with more space and a backyard, I'm sad to be leaving this little place behind. It's been a good home to us for the last five years. We became a family of three...then a family of four...in this little apartment. But, alas, we've outgrown the space. The boys are ready to have some room to run. So, we'll pack up our memories and take them with us...along with the rest of our junk! Moving day is tomorrow!

Farewell, little apartment. We'll miss you.

June looks to be just as busy. Our last day of school is tomorrow. Then we move, unpack, and leave for the summer. Can't wait to find myself at the end of a dock with nothing to do but sip my g&t and watch the sun go down!

Purple Penguin Eggs

The favorite game in our house at the moment is Pengoloo - a great matching/memory game in which these super cute wooden penguins sit on different colored wooden eggs. We've recently discovered that Dima's favorite color - and word - is purple. So, in his mind, the whole object of the game Pengoloo is to find the purple eggs. He asks to play this game about fifty times a day. "Do dat!...Do dat!" he says over and over again as he points to his favorite orange and blue box. I must say, he's got a great attention span (not to mention fabulous game-playing posture!) and gets the idea of the game, which is pretty good for a young two-year-old.  

If only there were pink penguin eggs, then Denis might love this game as much as Dima does! ;)
